The short answer
Compare chicken, halloumi and kathi wraps at LEON, Nando’s and Dishoom, with serving sizes, available nutrition and practical lunch advice.
Look inside the wrap, not just at its name.
A wrap is a format rather than a nutrition category. Chicken, cheese, sauces and the type of bread can make two apparently similar lunches quite different. There is no reason to assume it is lighter than a burger simply because the filling is rolled up.
Our picks cover a chicken wrap with a full panel, a vegetarian alternative, a piri-piri option and a sit-down kathi roll. These are individual orders, with extra sides kept separate. Where the restaurant gives a weight, we show it so you can see exactly which portion was reviewed.
The shortlist
The orders to know.
The shortlist favours identifiable finished wraps and a mix of fillings. Empty tortillas, children’s servings and incomplete build-your-own totals are excluded. It is an editorial selection, not a taste ranking.
For a documented lunch: LEON Chicken Aioli Wrap
This wrap has a published weight and full macro panel. The aioli belongs to the standard recipe and its nutrition; it is not an optional detail we have removed to make the figures look smaller.

For a vegetarian option: LEON Grilled Halloumi Wrap
Halloumi gives a useful alternative for someone who does not want chicken. Its protein is published, but so is 13 g of saturated fat. Vegetarian and lighter are separate questions, and this choice should not be sold as interchangeable with the chicken wrap.

For piri-piri chicken: Nando’s Grilled Chicken Wrap
The single wrap is a distinct recipe from the burger, with different standard fillings. Its menu calories are verified, but we do not attach older protein numbers to this new review.

Portion: Single wrap with standard fillings; no sides or drink.
Calories verified; a current complete macro panel was not verified.
Ordering note. Specify single or double and add any side separately. A wrap name alone does not establish the portion.
For a sit-down roll: Dishoom Chicken Kathi Roll
Dishoom’s Birmingham menu uses paratha around the chicken-and-egg filling. That makes this a different style of lunch to a standard tortilla wrap. We include it for variety, without pretending to know its calories or macros.
Birmingham all-day menu
Portion: One paratha roll; extra sides and drinks separate.
No verified calories or macros for this order.
Ordering note. Ask about the portion and accompaniments if you are sharing. Do not substitute nutrition from another restaurant’s chicken wrap.
Compare the actual orders
Figures belong to the portions described. “Not verified” means we could not confirm that value for this review; it does not mean zero. See each order above for all verified nutrients and its source.

Before you order
A workable lunch decision
Pick the filling first, then see whether the wrap is enough for the occasion. If you add a side, choose it as part of the order rather than comparing the wrap-only figure with somebody else’s complete lunch.
Custom orders lose precision
Removing a sauce changes the recipe, but the amount used may not be published. Record a custom order as uncertain instead of deducting a guessed number. The same applies to extra cheese or a larger wrap.
Vegetarian does not describe every dietary need
The halloumi option is vegetarian, not vegan. Always use the restaurant’s current ingredient and allergen information for dietary requirements; an editorial category is not an allergy assurance.
Frequently asked questions
Is a wrap healthier than a burger?
Neither format guarantees that. Compare the finished recipe, portion and sides.
Why is there no calorie figure for the kathi roll?
A reliable current figure was not available in the reviewed source. We do not estimate one from similar dishes.
